According to Cyclingnews, Mark Cavendish will team up with fellow Omega Pharma – Quick Step rider Iljo Keisse again in Zurich, only three days after the conclusion of pair’s first appearance at the Six Days of Ghent, held from November 18-23.
The British sprinter aims to use track events as a part of his build-up towards 2015 and reportedly his preparations are much more advanced than at the same point last season. Cavendish’ contract with Omega Pharma – Quick Step expires by the end of the next year, so the 29-year old Briton badly needs to improve on his results from recent months in order to have few bargaining chips in negotiations.
Along with Cavendish and Keisse, rising star of the Six Day circuit Jasper de Buyst will reunite with his countryman Kenny de Ketele while Glenn O’Shea is expected to team up with Luke Roberts.
