CCC Sprandi Polkowice will take on two one-day events this upcoming Sunday (31st of July) – RideLondon Classic and Rad am Ring.

The race around London will be held on similar roads to those from the Olympic course back in 2012. The 202-kilometer route features some steep climbing –  Leith Hill (first KOM of the day, at 76km mark), Surrey Hill (which will be tackled three times) and Box Hill (final ascent). Most of the ascending will take place in the middle of the race, as the final 50 kilometers are mostly flat. The finish will be located at the famous The Mall, the road between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.

The “orange squad” will be represented by 6 riders. Maciej Paterski will play the role of the leader of the team after coming from an unsatisfying Tour de Pologne. He will want to show that the reason for the lack of result in the Polish race was only the extreme weather conditions, not lack of form. 4 other CCC Sprandi Polkowice riders who took part in the TdP, will race also in London – Jarosław Marycz, Łukasz Owsian, Michał Paluta and Mateusz Taciak. They will be joined by Adrian Honkisz.

Rad am Ring will take place in Nürburg in Germany and will be 150km long. The race stands out in the cycling world due to the unusual course which runs on the motorsport racetrack. First the riders will cover a 24.4-kilometer long circuit five times. It was built in the 1920s and goes around the castle in the Eifel mountains. At the end the peloton will do a shorter version of the lap (5,1km) fiver times.

CCC Sprandi Polkowice will approach the race with an 8-rider roster. Davide Rebellin, Felix Grossschartner and Jan Hirt will try to take advantage of the hilly terrain in the Eifel mountains to break the field apart. They will be supported in that task by Piotr Brożyna, Marcin Mrożek, Josef Cerny, Leszek Pluciński and Adrian Kurek.

Line-up of CCC Sprandi Polkowice for  RideLondon Classic (1.HC, 31.07):

Maciej Paterski, Jarosław Marycz, Mateusz Taciak, Łukasz Owsian, Adrian Honkisz, Michał Paluta

Line-up of CCC Sprandi Polkowice for Rad am Ring (1.1, 31.07):

Davide Rebellin, Felix Grossschartner, Jan Hirt, Piotr Brożyna, Marcin Mrożek, Josef Cerny, Leszek Pluciński, Adrian Kurek.
