German Sparkassen Münsterland Giro (October 3rd, Monday) will be the last European race for CCC Sprandi Polkowice in 2016 season.
This one-day event is held on the course from Gronau to Münster. It is 215 kilometers long (plus 10km of neutral start) and runs through flat terrain of North Rhine-Westphalia. The route includes some steep, up to 11%, climbs, but they are short, rare and located far from the finish. In the finale there are three, 4-kilometer laps in the streets of Münster.
In the previous years the race would often end with a bunch sprint finish. For that reason the core of the orange line-up consists of sprinters – Grzegorz Stępniak, Eryk Latoń, Bartłomiej Matysiak and Alan Banaszek, who is preparing for the U23 world championships.
Leszek Pluciński, Marcin Mrożek and Jakub Kaczmarek will try to get into the break or help the team leaders in the final kilometers.
