CCC Sprandi Polkowice has selected the line-up for the final race of 2015 season – Tour of Hainan (2.HC). In the last 5 years the orange squad has participated in 4 editions of this stage race.
Since the race consists mostly of flat stages, the roster had to include fast riders like Grzegorz Stępniak and Eryk Latoń. The rest of the riders in the line-up are known for their aggressive style: Leszek Pluciński, Jarosław Marycz, Josef Cerny, Adrian Honkisz and Łukasz Owsian who was 11th in last year’s edition.
During the 9 days of competition, sprinters will have plenty opportunities to shine. There will be only one mountain stage, held on the penultimate day of racing and it will be the decisive stage in terms of the general classification. It will start in Dongfang and after covering 205 kilometers, it will be wrapped up in Wuzhishan. Three cat.1 climbs will be on the menu and from the last summit to the finish line, 12 kilometers remain
This year’s start list is very impressive. Three UCI WorldTour have announced their participation – Astana, Trek and Lampre-Merida - as well as some strong UCI Professional Teams – aside from CCC Sprandi Polkowice, also Nippo – Vini Fantini, Drapac and Southeast. Race favorites can’t forget about the Asian teams, for whom Tour of Hainan is one of the most important events in the cycling calendar.
