Team Colombia loses one of its most experienced riders. After eight seasons with the team sponsored by Coldeportes, 30-year-old Robinson Chalapud changes teams, signing for Orgullo Antioqueño, thus focusing on his career in his homeland, leaving Europe.

Part of the Colombian class of 1984, he was one of the most attacking and best known of the team of Claudio Corti, in particular thanks to his aggressive racing style and his presence in numerous breaks of the Giro d’Italia, which allowed him to place himself in sixth place on the Zoncolan and fifth in the final standings of the blue jersey of best climber.
