Chris Horner, the winner of the 2013 Vuelta a España, has not been retained by his team, Lampre Merida. So he is left without team for 2015. But according to Cyclingnews, his agent confirmed that the US rider has signed with an "up-and-coming" US team, mounting evidence points to the fledgling Airgas-Safeway squad as Horner's new home.

"I can't elaborate at all on the roster. [Team rider] Matt [Lyons] asked me the same thing the other day, and I was like, 'Matt, how am I supposed to respond to something like that? Like honestly.' Because it's like, uh yeah, no, umm. [laughs]. But yeah, that's a dream situation, right?", the general manager Chris Jonhson explained.

Some rumors sent the rider in different World Tour teams (BMC Racing Racing and Trek Factory Racing) and in different US Continental Pro teams (Jelly Belly, UnitedHealthcare, Jamis, SmartStop et Bissell). But in a press release, Airgas-Safeway would like to race the America's biggest stage races next season and that the team would be announcing "some very big news" this week that would change the scope of the program. Will they announce the signing of Chris Horner? Let us be patient.
