With the last stage of Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde, Bardiani-CSF finished its one-two in Belgium. The #GreenTeam achieved one top ten result with Paolo Simion (7th in stage 2) and 17th place for Sonny Colbrelli in GC, first among the Italians. On Sunday, at Gent-Wevelgem, Simion was again the top finisher (50th) while Colbrelli was taken out of the race a crash caused by an incautious road crossing.
This morning Bardiani-CSF moved to the Netherlands to attend the last race of the first northern campaign, Volta Limburg Classic (UCI Europe Tour 1.1, 198 km) where Colbrelli took second in 2013 and 2014 and Battaglin fourth in 2015. The roster, led by Roberto Reverberi, will be the same as the one in Belgium - Sonny Colbrelli, Paolo Simion, Mirco Maestri, Alessandro Tonelli, Nicola Ruffoni, Lorenzo Rota, Luca Sterbini and Nicola Boem, who hasrecovered after the crash.
On Sunday Bardiani-CSF will fly to Italy and ten days later will travel back to Belgium to race Brabantse Pijl on April 13, followed by GP de Denain in France (April 14) and the World Tour event Amstel Gold Race in the Netherlands (April 17).
