Sonny Colbrelli has earned himself a spot on the Italian National team, which is heading to Richmond. Here Colbrelli and the other Italians will participate in the World Championships.

Today Colbrelli won the bunch sprint in Coppa Bernocchi behind six riders who pulled away in the finale, with Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) conquering the race ahead of Finetto (Southeast) and Trentin (Italy).

”On one hand, I’m sad because I proved to be the fastest rider but on the other side I’m happy that the Italian coach Davide Cassani has selected me for the Road World Championships. I don’t know if I will be among the nine riders who will race and for this reason I aim to do my best in the next to events, Memorial Pantani and GP di Prato, both of which I won last year," he said.
