With a stunning sprint, Sonny Colbrelli conquered the victory in the 19th GP Beghelli (Monteveglio – Monteveglio, 196km). The rider of Bardiani – CSF took advantage of a perfect work by the whole Bardiani team, which took control of the peloton in the final laps and led its leader out in the final straight.

Colbrelli outsprinted Manuel Belletti (Southeast) and Roberto Ferrari (Lampre – Merida), taking the third wins of 2015 and ending this cycling season in a great way.

“I was so focused to end this season in the best way and I did it. All my team-mates were great, they did a fantastic work and for me all was easy. On the final straight I took the wheel of Belletti and in the last 50 meters I passed him in the centre of the road. Winning the last race of the season is really positive for my morale and I’ll start with more dedication to train for 2016,” Colbrelli said.

"I could win in Italy which is important both for me and for the team which is Italian. I'm really happy because I finish a season that is not positive, in a good way which bodes well for 2016.

" The win does not change anything. My goal was to go fast at the beginning, with Milan - San Remo . It was not so, but this victory gives me morale for 2016. Now we will enjoy a well-earned rest. "

Manager Roberto Reverberi added:

”Already in the last editions Colbrelli was close to the win, showing a good feeling forthis race. Today we were perfect, everyone did a great work and all our effort has been rewarded with a fantastic win. Sonny had the perfect timing in the sprint and he won clearly. To end the season with a victory is the best for all the team and our partners”.
