Team Colombia have kicked off their preparations for the 2015 season at a team gathering in Bogota. The team has now returned to Italy where they will continue their preparations for their first race, the Tour de San Luis.
Three intense days of physical and medical tests, bike fitting and a start to know and get along with new teammates and the staff members have ended. Team Colombia’s first meeting took place in Bogotà from November 18th to 20th and on Saturday November 22nd, Claudio Corti and Team Colombia’s staff returned to Italy with some encouraging indications in their bags.
“The new season will actually not start before two months of training but you can feel the guys are raring to go already, and in particular the newcomers can’t wait to begin the new European adventure," Corti said. "It is an important base to start building the new season.”
Over the three days in which the Escarabajos were gathered at Coldeportes’ Centro de Alto Rendimiento in Bogotà, Team Doctor Marco Pallini did the tests of physical efficiency during effort while chief mechanic Giancarlo Bianchi coordinated the bike fitting sessions with the Retul system on new Wilier Triestina Zero.7 frames.
Team Colombia’s 2015 season debut is scheduled from January 18th to 25th in Argentina at the Tour de San Luis.
