After finishing Tirreno-Adriatico on a high note, with the KOM jersey conquered by Carlos Julian Quintero, only five days and the GP Nobili Rubinetterie stand between Team Colombia-Coldeportes’ Escarabajos and the upcoming Milan-Sanremo (Sunday March 22nd).
On Thursday March 19th, Claudio Corti’s Team will face the classic route of Italian one-day race, 187lm from Suno to Stresa characterized by two ascents of the Massino climb. Sports Director Oscar Pellicioli will rely on a solid line-up, determined to stretch the good momentum of results and performances.
Following a strong week on Tirreno-Adriatico’s roads, Miguel Angel Rubiano and Edwin Avila will look to take their chances in case of a reduced sprint. Two years ago, Avila took part in a long escape.
Two more athletes from the Tirreno-Adriatico rsoter, Fabio Duarte and Walter Pedraza, will also enter the GP Nobili, joined by Jonathan Paredes, Carlos Mario Ramirez, Cayetano Sarmiento and Juan Pablo Valencia who round out the Escarabajos’ line-up.
