“When we chose black as main color in 2012, we were one of the very first to do so, if not the first, but now black has become the dominant color in the peloton: it was time for a different touch."

Colombia have unveiled their kit for the 2015 season. The jersey will have more yellow that it has had in the past while the Coldeportes logo will have a more prominent position.

“When we chose black as main color in 2012, we were one of the very first to do so, if not the first, but now black has become the dominant color in the peloton: it was time for a different touch.” That’s how Team Colombia-Coldeportes General Manager Claudio Corti introduces the new jersey which is made by technical sponsor Nalini for the Escarabajos and that will debut in Argentina at the Tour de San Luis from January 18 to 25, 2015.

While keeping black as their characterizing color, the new kits’ layout looks more colored and fresh, with a bigger Colombian flag on the chest and yellow details added on sides, neck and sleeves. In addition, Colombian Sports Ministry Coldeportes’ logo takes a wider spot just behind Colombia: “Coldeportes and the Colombian Governament have always been our main sponsor all the way, and this year we agreed with Coldeportes’ Director Andres Botero to give greater visibility to their participation in this very important project for Colombian sports,” Corti said.

2015 Team Colombia-Coldeportes will consist of 18 riders: Edwin Avila, Alex Cano, Camilo Castiblanco, Edward Diaz, Fabio Duarte,Leonardo Duque, Daniel Martinez, Sebastian Molano, Darwin Pantoja, Jonathan Paredes, Walter Pedraza, Carlos Julian Quintero,Carlos Mario Ramirez, Brayan Ramirez, Miguel Angel Rubiano, Cayetano Sarmiento, Rodolfo Torres and Juan Pablo Valencia.
