Scheduled for Thursday, February 19th, Trofeo Laigueglia will mark the second outing of the season for Team Colombia-Coldeportes in Italy, less than two weeks after racing the Gran Premio Costa degli Etruschi, the traditional opener of the calendar in the Peninsula. The 191.8km long race – which starts and finishes in Laigueglia – consists of two circuits and will have a hilly parcours, which will include climbs like the Cima Paravenna, Testico or San Damiano, providing the attackers plenty of opportunities to take the win.
Team Colombia-Coldeportes will try to be in the mix and light-up the race, and Sports Director Valerio Tebaldi has selected an aggressive squad, which will bring at the start, among others, Brayan Ramirez, Cayetano Sarmiento – mountains classification winner at the 2012 Critérium du Dauphiné - and two-time Colombian champion Walter Pedraza. Daniel Martinez – the youngest professional in the peloton for the 2015 season – Sebastian Molano, Camilo Castiblanco will round out the team along with Darwin Pantoja andJonathan Paredes, just returned to Europe after the Colombian National Championships.
