Manzana Postobon has been given the green light from the UCI to ride at ProContinental level next season.
With the license now secured, the Colombian team targets invitations for the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España.
"The work continues, but now with even more devotion after these great news," the team writes in a press release. "The team leaders and team managers will do their best to design the best possible schedule for 2017 so that we can represent the Postobon brand properly."
The leaders of the team are the 21-year-old stage race talent Aldemar Reyes and the promising 22-year-old sprinter Juan Sebastian Molano. The team has also signed former professionals Jetse Bol and Ricardo Vilela.
