Last year Luca Paolini emerged as the fastest in an exciting two rider battle with Stijn Vandenbergh while one year earlier Sep Vanmarcke did the unthinkable when he beat Tom Boonen in the final sprint. This year the riders will again have to overcome several steep Belgian hellingen to be in with a chance of taking the win in one of Belgium's most prestigious races.
