According to Cyclingnews, Alberto Contador signed for Trek-Segafredo yesterday during the first rest day of the Tour de France. Contador’s brother and agent agreed final terms with Trek-Segafredo in Andorra on Monday evening and the deal is done.
Contador is expected to take teammate Jesus Hernandez and Tinkoff DS Steven De Jongh with him to the US-registered team. The team has recently secured the likes of Jasper Stuyven and Bauke Mollema to new deals, and Koen de Kort and John Degenkolb are expected to join from Giant-Alpecin.
