American bicycle manufacturer Specialized continues its McLaren partnership, as its arguably three biggest stars, Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quick Step), Vincenzo Nibali (Astana), and Alberto Contador (Saxo-Tinkoff), visited McLaren headquarters outside of London on Wednesday, according to Gazzetta.it.

Contador utilized the McLaren wind tunnel, as the Spanish star hoped to improve his time trial performance, which was atrocious this year according to his normal standard.

Cavendish also used the wind tunnel as well, thinking of Grand Tour win, as the Manx rider said,
"The Tour starts in Leeds this year, a stone’s throw from my house, I can win six or seven stages. But I'd also like to be at the Giro d'Italia, where there will be so many opportunities for the sprinters."

Nibali considered Milan-San Remo mainly in the McLaren visit, though. He even inquired about a getting a bike specially built for Milan-San Remo race. On the race itself, the Sicilian commented, "Milan-Sanremo will be raced in a different way. I have to find time to go the new ascent of Pompeiana. Last year, without the cold, I would have attacked on the Cipressa. This year, I want to try this again," Cipressa, the third-to-last climb in the new route, is over 30kms from the finish.
