Despite the arduous task of riding back-to-back Grand Tours for the win at the Giro and Tour, it has been confirmed that Alberto Contador will join Nairo Quintana on the start line of the Route du Sud in between the races.
L’Équipe reports that he will break up the 33-day gap between the two races by participating in the Route du Sud, which takes place from June 18-21.
