The international cycling union UCI has suspuended Samuele Conti (Wilier-Southeast) for three years and seven months. Thhe 25-year-old Italian tested positive for growth hormone GHRP-2 earlier this year.

The positive test stems from an out-of-competition control on August 13. He will be allowed to race again from March 12, 2020.

During his career which began in 2014, the Italian has failed to take any professional victories. Two third places in stages in the Tour of Qinghai Lake are his best results.
