Jérôme Coppel left the Critérium du Dauphiné in the third stage on Tuesday, after falling 60 kilometers from the finish. The leader of the Cofidis team must take a few days off without “working further towards his season objectives." As Dr. Jacky Maillot said, Coppel suffers “from a bruised right knee and right ankle, a hematoma of the right thigh."
"After two-three days of complete rest, he will be back on the home trainer and then resume (early next week) training on the road," he adds.
