The Spanish rider Rubèn Plaza who joined Lampre-Merida in 2015, was the best rider for the blue-fuchsia-green in the time trial prologue of Paris-Nice.
The specialist covered the 6,7 flat km in Maurepas in 7'56" at an average speed of 50,672 km/h, obtaining the 16th position at 16" from the best time that was set by Kwiatkowski.
The day did not start in the best way for Rui Costa who had a little crash while he was training on the course of the prologue. Despite some abrasions, the Portuguese rider could take part in the race and he was 29th at 21" to Kwiatkowski.
After the prologue, it's timf for the longer distances. The 196,5 km in the 1st stage from Saint Remy les Chevreuse to Contres that are suitable for the sprinters, such as the blue-fuchsia-green Bonifazio and Cimolai.
