LAMPRE-MERIDA is participating in the Gran Piemonte but is also preparing the last WorldTour appointment, Il Lombardia, which is scheduled for Sunday the 4th of October.

At the start in Bergamo  8 blue-fuchsia-green riders will be directed by Philippe Mauduit: Matteo Bono, Valerio Conti, Rui Costa, Kristijan Durasek, Ilia Koshevoy, Manuele Mori, Jan Polanc and Diego Ulissi, representing 5 different nations (Belarus, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia).

LAMPRE-MERIDA's main rider will be the rider who was on the lower step of the podium at the 2014 edition of the classic, namely Rui Costa who recently took 9th place in the World Championships in Richmond.

The team of manager Copeland will also rely on the desire of Ulissi to again make top qualities performances in the final part of the season and on the climbing skills of Kristijan Durasek.

In support, they will have the three young guns Conti, Koshevoy and Polanc whose average age is 23 years, and two experienced riders in Bono and Mori.
