Chassot Concept, the company organizing the Tour de Romandie, has revealed the route of the 2017 edition which will have two summit finishes, a prologue and a final time trial. The course is very similar to the one used in 2016.

At the end of 2015, Richard Chassot announced a second summit finish for 2016 where the climbers had a chance both in Morgins and Villars-sur-Ollon where the winners were Nairo Quintana (after relegation of Ilnur Zakarin) and Chris Froome respectively. It was a successful novelt which will be repeated in the 2017 edition which will have mountaintop finishes in Champery on the first stage (after the prologue) and Leysin on the penultimate stage. The event will end with a time trial in Lausanne as it did two years ago.

Nairo Quintana (Movistar) won the 2016 edition ahead of Thibaut Pinot and Ion Izagirre.
