At the conference hall of the hotel Concorde today, supporters and journalists were given the opportunity to meet the riders, the components of the technical staff and the whole staff of the Italian-Venezuelan team. The team manager Gianni Savio – at his thirtieth year of activity – gave start to the presentation, with the Sport directors Giovanni Ellena , Roberto Miodini , Leo Canciani and Mario Manzoni. The debate was long and detailed, and cyclists and sponsors could express their impressions.

Gianni Savio illustrated the programs of the new season that is expected to be particularly intense for the Italian-Venezuelan team, with races all around the world, as well as in Italy with the participation in the Giro d’Italia.

"We'll be busy with a competitive team in many events in order to be the protagonists, with our usual spirit, with highly motivated athletes,” explained Gianni Savio. “We have young talents in our formation, and we continue to sustain our policy of development, re-launching those riders who often repay our trust in an appropriate manner."

Subsequently, Davide Cassani , the new coach of the Italian national team, presented the cyclists of the new Italian-Venezuelan team, thus honouring a commitment with Gianni Savio, remembering that he began as a rider thanks to the team manager from Turin.

"We have assembled a team with the inclusion of the Dutch riders, such as Hoogerland and Van Hummel, who will be the leaders in the races we are going to do in Northern Europe, along with our cyclists from Venezuela and of course the 16 Italian riders: we are sure to be able to obtain adequate responses in terms of results. The cycling is not having a good time, but it is possible to achieve good results through teamwork, with a motivated group and the support of sponsors who strongly believe in our business."
