Team CULT Energy continue to build their roster for the first year at professional continental level. Now reports link Nick Nuyens with a move to the ambitious Danish team.
CULT Energy is still trying to sign a major name for the 2015 season. Having tried to recruit Andy Schleck who later chose to retire, the ambitious Danish team is reported to be close to signing Nick Nuyens for their first year at the pro contunental level. Winner of the 2011 Tour of Flanders, uyens has had two poor seasons at Garmin-Sharp, mainly due to injuries, and is looking for a new team that could serve as his path to redemoption.
Born in 1980, Nuyens would be an important reinforcement of the Scandinavian team which is still chasing the big name that can open the door to big events as confirmed by team manager Chista Skelde to Cykelmagasinet. Skelde also confirmed that the team is interested in "a strong, high-profile Belgian rider."
Until now, the biggest signings are Fabian Wegmann and Linus Gerdemann.
