With only five riders on the start line for today’s initial stage of Giro del Trentino, a team time trial covering 13 kilometers in flat terrain, the odds were pretty much against the delegation from CULT Energy Pro Cycling.
The Danish team finished 16th out of 16 starting teams while Bora-Argon took the win – half a second ahead of Team Sky.
CULT Energy Pro Cycling DS André Steensen says:
“We WERE realistic and aware that we were five against eight riders on each team and pretty much out of contention. today we couldn’t have hoped for a good result. We hope that this race will prepare the riders for the coming races and we’re targeting a stage result as well.”
