Having recently announced that they will step up to pro continental level, Danish Team CULT Energy has announced its first major signing. After one year as an MTN-Qhubeka rider, Linus Gerdemann will be joining the team for the 2015 season.
Cult Energy Pro Cycling has announced that a contract was signed with German Top level rider Linus Gerdemann, for the seasons 2015 and 2016.
"We are very excited that such a great rider as Linus will join our project for the next 2 seasons," HR and press director Christa Skelde said. "Linus will be one of our leading riders and the team will try to support his season goals with a good mix of experienced riders and young talents."
"I’m really excited to join the Cult Energy Pro Cycling team," Gerdemann said. "I’ve known about the team for a while. For a continental team they look extremely professional and their step to the Pro Continental level makes a lot of sense. They are ranked in the top ten of the UCI Europe Tour which proves they’ve got a good structure and a great eye for talent.
"Working with younger athletes is one of my passions and I look forward to targeting week-long stage races while nurturing the phenomenal talent on the team"
Gerdemann's major wins includes stage wins in Tour de France, Tour de Suisse and overall victory in the Tour de Luxembourg (2011).
