The Vuelta a Burgos. an important race of the calendar, will be of a great relevance for the team for the Damiano Cunego and Daniele Colli coming back to official competitions. On the team car, to support Stefano Giuliani there will be also Stefano Garzelli, at his debut with the NIPPO Vini Fantini team.


From the 4 to the 8 of August the Italian team will be involved in Spain, to the Vuelta a Burgos. It is a very important period in the calendar also for the coming back to the official competitions both for the captain Damiano Cunego and the charismatic leader Daniele Colli, at their first race after the Giro d’Italia injury. It will be a race full of news for the team, that will have in support to the Sports Director Stefano Giuliani, also Stefano Garzelli, at his debut as DS of the team.


The complete line-up of the NIPPO Vini team at the Vuelta a Burgos will be composed by: Damiano Cunego, Daniele Colli, Pierpaolo De Negri, Alessandro Bisolti, Iuri Filosi, Antono Nibali, Genki Yamamoto, Didier Chaparro.

 

Stefano Giuliani will lead the team on the team car: “It will be a good test for us also looking forward to this autumn race, but where we want to well figure out. We will have with us again our leader Damiano Cunego. For him the most important thing is to come back to the race rhythm without thinking to much to the final result. Our competitors are top level with many World Tour team as Astana and Movistar. To this race we will have a good mix of young talent and expert riders, so we are all balanced and we can do a good tour.”

 

Damiano Cunego is coming back for the competitions after the injury of May: “After almost a month of training in Livigno I really want to come back to official competitions. It was a bad luck to have that injury, and was painful. Now I feel better and I’m riding very well, but the only way to discover if I’m back with my condition is to compete in this race against other important riders.”

 

Another rider of the team NIPPO Vini Fantini will be involved in the same period, from the 5 to the 8 of August, in the Tour of Szeklerland. Eduard Grosu will be in the race with the national team of Romania.
