The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has announced that Kleber Da Silva Ramos has been provisionally suspended after failing an anti-doping test for the banned blood-boosting drug CERA on the eve of the Rio Olympics.
The Brazilian rider competed in the men's Olympic road race on August 6 but failed to finish. He is not due to compete in any other events.
He won a stage at the 2015 Tour de San Luis. This season, he finished second in the Brazilian road race championships. He also rode the La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, the Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol and the Giro del Trentino.
