Yesterday Alex Rasmussen and Jesper Mørkøv won the 54th edition of the Copenhagen Six Days as they managed to defend against repeated attacks from Müller/Graf and, especially, De Ketele and De Pauw.

The final Madison was marred by illness, though, as was the entire race. On Monday Marc Hester lost his partner, Jasper De Buyst, after the team had been in charge of the race right from the start. Hester was then partnered with Belgian Otto Vergaerde and the team was in an excellent position to challenge for the win when Vergaerde also fell ill and had to withdraw from the race.

Mørkøv and Rasmussen, who was distanced by ten laps in the Berlin Six Days when Rasmussen suffered from illness early in the race, had amassed more points than their rivals in the early stages of the race and that allowed them to ride defensively in the final and their adversaries were unable to break them.
