In the Czech city of Tabor, David van der Poel took his first victory of the cyclo-cross season. Iin the fourth round of the TOI TOI Cup, the Dutchman beat his BKCP teammates Vincent Baestaens and home favorite Michael Boros.
"First win of the year in Tabor. Not the best feeling, but happy to take the win. Full @BKCP_Corendon podium! Next: @ekzcrosstour," he tweeted after the race.
Van der Poel is representing his family well while his younger brother, world champion Mathieu, is out of competition with an injury. He plans to return at the World Cup race in Koksijde in late November.
