Jasper de Buyst and Kenny De Ketele are still in the lead after the fourth day of racing at the 33rd Six Days of Rotterdam. The Belgians are one lap ahead of nearest rivals Michael Mørkøv and Alex Rasmussen. Iljo Keisse and Niki Terpstra are also one lap behind in third. However, the defending champions are close to a bonus lap as they only need to score another 10 points to break the 200-point barrier.
The riders have the audience value for their money on the fourth day. In the teams points race, the field exploded to pieces. By taking a lap, Keisse and Terpstra won the event but the exhausted winners were almost unable to celebrate their triumph. The madison turned into a tactucal battle. When one of the favourites attacked, the other contenders responded immediately. Finally, Spanish world champions David Muntaner and Albert Torres got clear with Mørkøv and Rasmussen. In the sprint, the Danes were faster than their rivals. In the two final points race, de Buyst and De Ketele consolidated their lead.
The spectacular new discipline The Longest Lap was again on the schedule. After the second shot was fired, four riders were still behind the finish line and sprinted for the win. Michael Vingerling beat Iljo Keisse, Wim Stroetinga and Thomas Boudat.
The battle for the title in the Derny Cup remains exciting. The duo Keisse-Terpstra is in the lead but are chased by four Roompot riders. Their advantage over the Kreder brothers Michel and Raymond (one point) and Wesley Kreder-Jesper Asselman (three points) is small.
Matthijs Büchli, Nils Van 't Hoenderdaal and Sam Ligtlee made the first appearance in the Sprint Cup. They replaced fellow Dutchmen Hugo Haak, Jeffrey Highland and Camiel Lok. However, they had a hard time again their Greek rivals and a small lead was turned into a four-point deficit.
