Belgian duo Kenny De Ketele and Jasper De Buyst successfully defended their overall lead on the second night of the Sixday Nights Zürich yesterday. The team continued to amass a sufficient amount of points in the sprints, the team elimination and the derny, the latter being won in commanding fashion by the young De Buyst.

Simultaneously the Belgians more than held their own in the Madisons to cling on to the lead. They are under threat from Dillier/Keisse, though, as Keisse gave a full display of his lethal combination of speed, experience and tactical intelligence to secure the win in the second Madison of the night.

German duo Lampater/Kluge is still to gain a bonus lap for reaching 100 points but even if they should succeed in doing so today, they still trail the leading two teams on points and might be obliged to lap the field at least once more than Keisse/Dillier and De Ketele/De Buyst if they are to walk away with the honours.

The young Swiss duo Küng/Schir continues to ride aggressively and took the opening Madison of the evening, while Gaël Suter was the fastest rider in the one lap time trial for the second day in succession.
