On the fourth day of the Amsterdam Six, the battle only started late in the night. The first parts of the evening hardly led to any changes in the standings but the final madison did. After a resounding victory, Yoeri Havik and Wim Stroetinga moved into third overall. Belgians Kenny de Ketele and Moreno De Pauw still lead and are now one lap ahead of Leif Lampater and Marcel Kalz.

"We are lucky to have scored points in the other disciplines so we have a lead. But I notice that the Dutchmen get stronger every day a bit more," De Ketele said.

Havik and Stroetinga were by far the strongest in the sprint.

"You can see that the Germans had a greater acceleration," Havik said. "Therefore they were faster in the beginning of the week, but you now realize that they are tired. It is also nice that we have the spectators behind us. It was sold out tonight and that is encouraging.''
