David de la Fuente proudly shows his new colors, green and white. He has been signed by the Sporting Clube de Portugal-Tavira team which was presented last Sunday.

The Spaniard cyclist who faces his 14th season, has managed to continue his career after a difficult time. In the past, he has excelled in the Tour de France. He was the most aggressive rider and second in the mountains classication in 2006 and accompanied Alberto Contador during the winning ride in 2010 (he has later been stripped from the win) and Juanjo Cobo during his victory in the Vuelta in 2011.

In the Portuguese continental team, he will bring his experience and will be one of the leaders in a team led by Italian Rinaldo Nocentini.
