Astana Pro Team has announced a two-year contract extension with Laurens De Vreese.

The Belgian rider will stay with the Kazakh team during the 2017-2018 seasons.

"I am very glad that I will be part of the team for two more years. I have had two very good seasons in which I learned a lot. I am honored of the trust that the management have me and I am sure that I will continue to do my best for the team," said Laures De Vreese.

“Laurens is very experienced and a strong Belgian rider. His power, experience and knowledge of the Belgian roads are very important for the team in the classics. He will also be a very good support for our Alexey Lutsenko," commented general manager Alexandr Vinokurov.
