Team Giant-Shimano will look to keep the ball rolling after their strong showings in the Dubai Tour and Etoile de Besseges when they line up at the Tour Mediteraneen. John Degenkolb will be looking for his first win in the flat stages while Tobias Ludvigsson and Warren Barguil will target the overall.

After a busy and successful past few days with both the men's and women's teams in action, Team Giant-Shimano line up at just one race this week. Eight riders head to the four-day Tour Méditerranéen (UCI 2.1) in the south of France, looking to continue the team's current run of form.

The race starts with two unpredictable rolling stages before a split day on day three with a short, fast stage in the morning followed by an 18.2km time trial effort in the afternoon.

Tobias Ludvigsson will be looking to use the confidence gained from winning the Étoile de Bessèges this past weekend, and will focus on the time trial and overall classification once again.

The race then concludes with a hill-top finish on Mont Faron on day four where Warren Barguil Dries Devenyns and Georg Preidler will be looking to stretch their climbing legs.

"We hope that the Tour Méditerranéen will have some better weather than we have seen recently or that could be a factor that helps decide the race," said coach Lionel Marie. "The guys are going well and are well prepared having been on training camp recently with the experts and coaches as well as having done some track testing to fine tune their positions on their Giant bikes.

"John Degenkolb will be looking to get a result on the sprint stage while we have several cards to play on the tough finish on Mont Faron. Tobias showed at Bessèges how he has progressed over the past year, taking the win there, and will be looking for another result here."

Several other riders are this week attending a training camp at Team Giant-Shimano's new training base in Cambrils, Spain together with several of the team coaches and training experts to continue working on their form before their next races.
