Bretagne-Séché Environnement had a beuatiful day between Livarot and Fougeres where the Tour de Frace arrived in the city where manager Emmanuel Hubert grew up. Anthony Delaplace who wanted to shine on his training roads, attacked with Brice Feillu in his wheel. They were joined by Daniel Teklehaimanot, Luis Angel Mate and Kristijan Durasek.

They stayed clear for 180km until they were caught 10km from the finish. Etixx-QuickStep and Lotto Soudal made sure that it came down to a bunch sprint.

Anthony Delaplace, the most powerful in the finale, was awarded the Antargaz Price combativity award and will wear the red dossard in the stage to Mur de Bretagne. Florian Vachon and Armindo Fonseca tried to be there in the sprint and took 13th and 19th respectively.

"It was complicated from the very beginning of our breakaway because the teams of the sprinters pulled straight away," Delaplace said. "They have played with us. We would have needed 20 minutes to make it to the finish. I have done a few breakaways at the Tour before and this is the first time I am rewarded with the most aggressive rider price.

"It's been a good day for us because I started in Normandy where I'm from and we arrived in Brittany where our team is from, and especially in Fougères where our team manager Emmanuel Hubert is from, so we had to show our happiness on the road."
