Axel Domont (Ag2r) showed his usual aggressive sprit when he went on the attack in stage 2 of the Tour de Wallonie and was awarded the combativity prize.
"This morning I was still well placed overall," he told Directvelo. "When I attacked, I thought both about the stage win and to move up in the standings. There was a big fight. Etixx - Quick Step was up against a big breakaway with Philippe Gilbert. I hoped they had felt the effort. With enough time at the bottom of the last climb, anything was possible. Finally, it did not end in the best way. Etixx had control of the situation, despite the very hard course and the wind. It is always nice to be on the podium as the most aggressive rider."
