Alex Dowsett keeps his hopes for making the Hour Record breaking attempt scheduled for February 8 alive, as the 26-year old Movistar rider resumed training only seven days after a surgery on bractured collarbone.
Dowsett received a serious blow as he crashed during a training ride a week ago, breaking his collarbone, but promised to fight a battle for making his Hour Record braking attempt possible shortly afterwards and kept his spirit high, posting typically ironic comments via his Twitter account.
Only one week after the accident there are reasons to remain optimistic about his chances, as Movistar team informed on Twitter that the 26-year old time trial specialist has already resumed his training on home trainer.
“Alex Dowsett is already on the trainer,” said his Movistar team via Twitter. “Just seven days after his collarbone fracture. This is why cyclists are heroes!”
