Colombia have announced their roster for their autumn highlight, Sunday's Il Lombardia. The South Americans will be led by Fabio Duarte and Jarlinson Pantano in the final monument of the season.
Just like in the two previous season, Team Colombia is about to face the last Monument cycling of the World Calendar, “Il Lombardia”.
The Escarabajos, who will be guided on Sunday October 5th by General Manager Claudio Corti and Sports Directors Valerio Tebaldi andOscar Pellicioli, have carefully prepared for the challenge, going on a thorough recognition over the crucial points of the new route, 256 km from Como to Bergamo.
Team Colombia will field and 8-man line-up, looking to leave their mark on the big stage: Robinson Chalapud, Edward Diaz, Fabio Duarte, Jarlinson Pantano, Carlos Julian Quintero, Miguel Angel Rubiano, Rodolfo Torres and Juan Pablo Valencia.
“You are always motivated when taking on a race like “Il Lombardia”, Tebaldi explained. “For us, it is the most important event of the second half of the season and our goal is to reward the invitation granted by RCS Sport. Duarte and Pantano will be our main options for the finale, but I hope to see the guys in the spotlight in every phase of the race”.
