Having shown improving condition in the recent Tre Valli Varesine, Fabio Duarte will be back in a leaderhip role when he leads Colombia in Milan-Turin. The Colombian will be supported by Miguel Angel Rubiano and Carlos Julian Quintero who rode yesterday's Worlds.

Following the Worlds weekend, when Colombian Carlos Julian Quintero showed up with a long escape in the road race, Team Colombia’s riders will be in contention in one of the most important one-day races in the Italian cycling calendar, Milano-Torino(Wednesday October 1st).

The oldest classic in Italy, first edition in 1876, will start from Settimo Milanese to finish on the Superga hill, 193,5 Km, to be climbed twice in the finale.

Sports Director Valerio Tebaldi will field a combative line-up, led by Fabio Duarte, in the spotlight at the Tre Valli Varesine. The athlete from Facatativa will be supported by a strong team, with more climbing options in Robinson Chalapud and Miguel Angel Rubiano, whilst Quintero, Juan Pablo Valencia, Edward Diaz, Rodolfo Torres and Jarlinson Pantano will round out the team line-up.

“The guys are ready to face the last races of the season”, Tebaldi said. “Duarte gave a good signal at Tre Valli Varesine, and will be the leader for this race. Our leader will be able to rely on a solid group of riders to protect him in the early part of the race, where we will count on the contribution of Carlos Julian Quintero, who proved to be in very good condition at the World Championships.”
