According to Tutto Bici, organiser RCS Sport decided that the Giro d’Italia will travel abroad again in 2016. Next May, the three-week race will kick off in Nijmegen, in Netherlands. There is the third start in the Netherlands. Bradley Wiggins won the last edition started in Netherlands, in 2010.

Edit: According to Procyclingstats.com, the 2016 edition will begin with a prologue in Apeldoorn (07/05). The next day, the peloton will quit Arnhem to join Nijmegen (08/05). The third stage in Netherlands will be held between Nijmegen and Arnhem (09/05).
