Team Europcar have signed talented track rider Thomas Boudat for the 2015 season. The young Frenchman will have a mixed schedule that will include both road and track events.

Versatile on the track and on the road, Thomas Boudat signed his first professional contract last Friday, October 31.Team Europcar have secured themselves one of the great hopes of French cycling.

"With Bryan [Coquard] and him, we have the two best riders in the world for the omnium," manager Jean-Rene Bernaudeau told L'Equipe. With the signing, Team Europcar will have a world champion in its ranks.

At 20 years of age, Thomas Boudat won the omnium World Championships last March in the Colombian city of Cali. Member of the development team Vendée U, the great talent has already achieved lots of success: in 2014 he was French champion in three disciplines (team pursuit, scratch and omnium) and runner-up in two others (individual pursuit, madison). Since 2012, he has won a minimum of 3 titles every year. With Bryan Coquard, he forms a strong pair for the madison.

Boudat joins the team with a mixed program that will combine events on the track and the road: "In 2015, he will ride a few WorldTour races of a single or a few days, mainly to progress," continues Bernaudeau .

With the arrival of Thomas Boudat, the team manager continues his commitment to the development of young talents.
