At the start of the 2015 Tour de France, there are very many contenders with amongst other things Alberto Contador, Chris Froome, Vincenzo Nibali and Nairo Quintana. Cadel Evans, the former Australian rider, told about them. According to Cyclingnews, the Movistar Team leader will be a big favorite.
The 25 year-old rider, the winner of the 2014 Giro d'Italia, won this year Tirreno-Adriatico. With, amongst other things, Alejandro Valverde, Movistar Team will be a strong team. "Every year they seem to get better and better," Evans pointed out. "They are more consistent and solid. They donít really have any stand out results but they are just always good. They may not be the strongest team but they will always be up there. The team will not be Quintanaís downfall."
In 2013, when he finished 2nd overall in the Tour de France, the Colombian rider was not the team leader. "In 2013 he was better than [designated team leader Alejandro] Valverde, but [as leader this year] if he gets anywhere as good in the mountains, we will see him at his best. It could be Quintana versus Froome."
But the main question is: How many times will he lose during the first week ? "When riding in the peloton, he doesnít exude a sense of security and safety on the bike. The first week will be his challenge."
