After his brief retirement, Cameron Meyer has returned with a bang on the second day of the Track World Cup in Glasgow, Scotland. The 28-year-old Australian who asked the Dimension Data team to end his contract for personal reasons in the summer and announced his return with the goal of participating at the 2020 Olympics in October, won the points race in superior fashion ahead of Frenchman Benjamin Thomas and Brit Samuel Harrison

In the Keirin, Czech Tomas Babek took the win ahead of Lithuanian Vasilijus Lendel, Brit Lewis Oliva and Japanese Yudai Nitta. In the Scratch race, Belgian Robbe Ghys beat Russian Maksim Piskunov and Portuguese Ivo Emanuel Oliveira.

The World Cup premiere of the women's two-rider team pursuit was won by Brits Manon Lloyd and Katie Archibald ahead of the French pair Laurie Berthon and Caroline Demay. The Russian duo Maria Averina/Diana Klimova finished third. 

In the sprint, Lithuanian Simona Krupeckaite won the second gold medal after he win in the Keirin. In the final, the Lithuanian relegated Ukrainian Liubov Basova to second place. Third place went to Spaniard Tania Calvo Barbero. The women's individual pursuit was won by Pole Justyna Kaczkowska ahead of Frenchwoman Elise Delzenne and BelarusianTatsiana Sharakova.
