During the World Championship road race, won by the Polish Michal Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma-Quick Step), Eduardo Sepulveda suffered a fall. The Argentine rider, who usually runs in the colors of the Bretagne Séché Environnement, broke his collarbone.
Earlier in the season, Sepulveda has already deprived of his first Tour de France due to a fall during the Bayern Ruhnfart and a persistent pain in his left leg. According to the french medias, after this fall, he must put an end to his season. The rider of the Bretagne Séché Environnement must rest in order to be fit for Paris-Nice, which should be his first major goal of the 2015 season.
