Victor Campenaerts (Topsport Vlaanderen) confirmed his huge potential when he finished third in the Ster ZLM Toer prologue.
"It went well," he told Spoza. "I am happy with this result. Normally I prefer slightly longer time trials where I am better. In the last three kilometers, it was a straight road with lots of wind. That was my advantage compared to the specialists. My condition is good so I hope not to lose too much time in the coming days. I would like to finish in the top ten.
"A podium is perhaps too ambitious, but top five would make me extremely happy, considering the start list," he added, referring to the Belgian TT championships. "I will do everything to be in top condition at the start."
