FDJ sports director Yvon Madiot was smiling at the end of the Tour du Limousin after his team had shown there skills much better in the last stage won in a sprint by Lammertink (Team Roompot).
"It was a comeback race for many FDJ riders," he said. "The difficulties in the first days were almost logical. With rhythm and repetition of effortsm they have made good progress. For example, Jérémy Roy showed great aggression on Friday by attacking in the second part of the stage. Anthony Roux went for a top 10 (8th ) in Limoges. Here, things are back to normal."
For the riders in the Tour du Limousin, this was a first step before doing the Grand Prix de Plouay and two WorldTour races in Canada where Arthur Vichot has experienced mixed fortunes. A second place in 2013, a broken collarbone last year.
At the end of this Tour du Limousin won by Colbrelli (Bardiani-CSF), one can say that FDJ are on the right track.
