Obviously, the result in the team time trial is a little disappointing for the FDJ team which was 20th in a field of 21 teams. However, the riders stil found reasons to be satisfied.
Kenny Elissonde, Kevin Reza, Benoît Vaugrenard, Arnold Jeannesson and Arnaud Courteille crossed the finish line together in Montagny together.
"We missed Laurent Pichon and I think Murilo Fischer who did the Giro, was a bit at the end of the race. He needs to take some rest. Benoît Vaugrenard was good, just like Kenny Elissonde who was really effective on all the climbs. He has a nice chance to try something this weekend. We had no objective in the general classification but of course we can win a stage."
The FDJ team will focus on breakaways already in tomorrow's stage to Sisteron.
"With Kevin Reza, we have a good card to play in the finale but we will also focus on breakaways."
At the finish, Arnold Jeannesson was worried about his physical condition which is still affected by a crash in the Tour de la Somme but as he finished with his best teammates, there were encouraging signs.
